وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
The ninth refrain. After a section of a single verse.
And here the distance between the refrain and the preceding verse falls to its minimum. Verse 46 ends with mujrimūn, verse 47 with al-mukadhdhibīn. The two verse-endings are in the same sound and the two words name the same group.
The sūra has begun to close by accelerating.
