"This is the straight way of your Lord… 'O company of jinn and human beings! Did messengers not come to you from among you, recounting My signs to you?'"
يَٰمَعْشَرَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ — the same address was treated at al-Raḥmān 55/33; I rely on that treatment.
I record this as an observation: the principle treated at Fāṭir 35/24 (wa in min ummatin illā khalā fīhā nadhīr) and at al-Qaṣaṣ 28/59 (ḥattā yabʿatha fī ummihā rasūlā) comes here in the form of a question — and its answer is given in the same verse: qālū shahidnā ʿalā anfusinā.
(131) — "Your Lord would not destroy the towns wrongfully while their people were unaware."
Two qualifications at once: bi-ẓulm and wa ahluhā ghāfilūn. That is, both wrongfulness and unawareness are excluded.
وَرَبُّكَ ٱلْغَنِىُّ ذُو ٱلرَّحْمَةِ إِن يَشَأْ يُذْهِبْكُمْ وَيَسْتَخْلِفْ مِنۢ بَعْدِكُم مَّا يَشَآءُ (133) — istikhlāf: the root خ-ل-ف was treated at Fāṭir 35/39 (khalāʾif) and will be treated at the 165th verse of this sūra.
(135) — this sentence of the parting of ways was treated at al-Zumar 39/39 and at Fuṣṣilat 41/5 (from the other side); I rely on that treatment. This is the third link.
