6/92-94

"This is a blessed Book We have sent down, confirming what came before itAnd you have come to Us one by one, just as We created you the first time."

Muṣaddiqu'lladhī bayna yadayh — treated at Fāṭir 35/31 and al-Aḥqāf 46/12; umm al-qurā — treated at al-Shūrā 42/7. I rely on that treatment.

(93) — the pattern occurs for the second time in this sūra (21, 93). And the two alternatives here are worth recording: inventing a lie, and saying that revelation has come.

Furādā (one by one) — treated at Maryam 19/95 (wa kulluhum ātīhi yawma'l-qiyāmati fardā); khawwalnākum — treated at al-Zumar 39/8 and 39/49 (khawwalahū niʿmatan), and it was recorded there: what is given is named not as property but as something given into one's keeping. I rely on that treatment.

And the expression warāʾa ẓuhūrikum (behind your backs) is worth recording: the things left behind remain on the unseen side. I give this as an observation: the last verse of the sūra (165) will say that what is given is an instrument of trial; this verse shows where that instrument is left.
